How many youths per unit?

The number of youths per unit varies:

  • One Bedroom Units:
    • One bedroom units are frequently occupied by Teen Parents with one or two children. 
    • These units are also occupied by ED approved youths.
  • Two Bedroom Units:
    • Two bedrooms are occupied by Teen Parents
    •  Two THPP youths per unit

Why isn't the Teen Parent program for females only?

In today's society teen parents can be either male or female.  MAC's Children and Family Services Inc., does not discriminate nationality and/or gender.

Who can youths have as a guest in their unit?

Teen Parent may have their child's non-custodial parent visit upon approval of visitation request.

What is the criteria for THPP, Teen Parent, and Aftercare?

THPP Personnel is available regarding placement inquiries.  Youth's must be 15 year or older and currently attending high school.  When MAC's begins the Aftercare service the age limit will be 24 years old and previously a foster youth.

When do youths qualify for these programs?

  • Group Home: 13 Years of Age
  • THPP: 16 Years of Age - Good Behavior
  • Teen Parent: 16 to 19.5 Years of Age - If still in school
  • After Care: 18 Years of Age (24 Month Maximum Residency)
